At the 47th All Japan Koi Show held on the 29th January 2016, the largest and most prolific Nishikigoi show in the world which saw 1,772 entries, a splendid 8 year old, 94cm Kohaku owned by Mr Pan Zhi Cheng, bred by Dainichi koi Farm / Dainichi Koi Farm Toyota, was crowned All Japan Grand Champion.
The 2016 Grand Champion has very deep and consistent Hi and is superior in both leading and trailing edge. The Shiroji is also beautiful, looking like pottery. Furthermore the Kohaku has a very good body size and shape and is a real “swimming jewel”. This fish is on the January & February page of the 2016 Hikari calendar.
This Grand Champion won a Jumbo Champion prize at the 46th All Japan Combined Nishikigoi Show. We are delighted to hear that the Grand Champion was raised on Hikari fish foods as its main diet. Congratulations to Mr. Pan on taking the Grand Champion with this stunning Kohaku!
Koi fed and grown on Saki-Hikari continuously became Grand Champion from 2002 to 2015 Saki-Hikari are proud to win once again in 2016.
