Saki-Hikari Pure White is a unique blend of the finest quality ingredients scientifically developed to help Koi develop a deep, translucent white (Shiroji). Saki-Hikari Pure White contains a traditional Japanese health food 'extract of pickled Japanese Apricot' which naturally contains apricot-polyphenol and citric acid which help maintain efficient metabolism in Nishikigoi, an important step in developing desirable Shiroji. Saki-Hikari Pure White also contains milled sesame seed which contains desirable antioxidants, helping promote growth and lustre. The highly digestible formula allows feeding at lower water temperatures, making it ideal for use during the Winter Show season.
The inclusion of Hikari-Germ, a strain of Bacillus (good) bacteria, which when fed becomes active in the Koi's intestinal tract, creates beneficial digestive enzymes thereby improving the digestive capacity of Koi. Hikari-Germ also helps support the fish's own good bacteria, helping prevent a build-up of bad bacteria thereby helping build up stronger natural defences. Furthermore waste that is excreted is highly decomposed by the activity of the bacteria, which helps maintain the quality of water, an essential requirement when breeding and raising koi successfully, while also reducing the load on the filter, therefore reducing maintenance.
